Chamber’s Website

With numerous hits daily, our website offers exposure for your business in Smithville, Texas, surrounding area and worldwide. As a member, you will be included in this online-searchable membership directory with a link to your business website and each member has a webpage on the site. All you have to do is send us your info and we will include your images/logos, business detail, and links to your own website or you can log on and do this yourself. This is a valuable service that includes a full description, keyword search capability that provides you with online presence and can help your own company website’s ranking.

Visitor Information Center

The Chamber of Commerce also operates the Visitor Information Center.  This is a great way to get your business information in the hands of visitors. The Chamber also stuffs hundreds of Visitor Bags and New Resident bags which are handed out to all new utility customers at City Hall.

Membership Directory

We distribute hundreds of copies each year of this valuable resource to our members, residents and others who use it to find products and services they need. All members are listed free of charge in one business category of their choice as well as alphabetically. Advertising and additional business categories are available for a fee.

Business Referrals

The Chamber takes thousands of phone calls, walk-ins and emails annually from people looking for goods, services, shopping, and inquiries about tourism. We refer all of our calls, visitors and emails to our members first. 

Brochures & Business Card Display

Our high traffic Chamber office and Visitors Center has a member only brochure & business card display area for marketing your business information.

Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Openings and Groundbreaking

This service is available to all Chamber members. We will provide the ceremonial scissors and presence of the Chamber Ambassadors and Board of Directors. We also highlight your event on our website, newsletter, Chamber Connection Emails, and on Facebook. Ribbon Cuttings are available to members that are a new business, on anniversaries, ones that expand, relocate, or under new ownership.

Chamber Plaque

The Chamber logo is a symbol of your good corporate citizenship and identifies you as an important part of the Smithville area business community.

Sponsorships

Sponsoring one of the Chamber’s premier events will increase your exposure to businesses and the community. Sponsorships are available at prices ranging from $100 to $3000.

Chamber Luncheon

Our annual luncheon is held on the 3rd Thursday in August and is attended by local business owners, as well as city, county and state officials. All members of the community are encouraged to attend. By attending our luncheon you are able to meet and network with other members and most importantly, potential customers. New members are announced and welcomed. Sponsoring the luncheon gives you the opportunity to present your business by giving presentations, and/or inviting a guest speaker. 

Monthly Newsletter

Every month over 300 newsletters are mailed out full of information about what is going on at the Chamber and around the business community. New members are “spot lighted” as well as members who are renewing their membership. As a new member, you will receive a one time FREE insert. Inserts are one page advertisement featuring your business.

Annual Chamber Awards Banquet

Every year in February, the Chamber hosts a Banquet, a special night which includes dinner and awards in honor of its members. Not only do we recognize Smithville’s Finest in business and its citizens but we also offer businesses the opportunity to become sponsors. A sponsorship includes pre-Banquet publicity on our website, in the newsletters, on Facebook, the Banquet Program and a continuous-loop PowerPoint that plays all night long. It is an evening you don’t want to miss. 

Networking Opportunities, Mixers

Monthly membership functions provide forums for making business contacts. These include mixers held each month. These events offer the membership a great way to make new contacts, meet other professionals, and become involved in community activities. Sponsoring a mixer is a great way to highlight your business.

Website Banner Ads

Over the past few years, most of us have heard about all the money being made on the Internet. One of the most popular forms of internet advertising is the banner ad. The Chamber offers banner ads on its site for a fee. Contact the Chamber for more information.

Community Calendar & Involvement

The Chamber assists the community, local clubs and organizations in the promotion events and activities through a community calendar on our website, by disseminating information, answering questions or mailing additional information in the way of brochures. Talk to our Chamber staff about how we can assist your business or organization.

The Chamber serves as a reference point for members when they seek the latest statistical and demographic information for business planning purposes.
