Smithville Wingfest & Chili Cook-A-Roo!! It’s almost time for the 2nd Annual Smithville Wingfest this year on Saturday, September 28th from 10am – 5pm in downtown Smithville! We’ve added a chili cook off and we are, of course, still having our home brew beer contest. The kid’s fest area is a “Water Wonderland” where the kiddos can stay cool in the watery fun! We’ll have chicken “poo” bingo, we’ll have crowd participating in the famous chicken dance, there will be a cornhole competition and, of course, tastings of wings and chili, a food court and a beer tent. There will also be live music all day long from Brianna Adams, the Watts Brothers Band and the Bucksnort Boogie Boys. Sign up to be a cook team as proceeds go to the Smithville Food Pantry, the Smithville Lion’s Club and the Chamber and there will be trophies! Your organization can also come down and sell items – free for non-profits – so come host a food booth or merchandise booth and join us for a fun time! Info online at www.smithvillewingfest.com
SHOP LOCAL! The Chamber was excited to sponsor a GO TIGERS banner at the new SISD stadium, just in time for the homecoming game as well as two of the Tiger flag banners proudly on display at the Railroad Park on Main Street!
