    Interstate Access:
    Interstate 71 has two easy access points into Smithville as well as long frontage along the HWY 71 corridor. Also access to State Highway 95 throughout the community. Access to a major railway within Smithville as well as throughout the county.

    Utility Providers:
    Electric, Water, Sanitation, and Sewer services provided by the city of Smithville. Telephone, gas, cable television, and internet all provided by multiple providers including LiveAir Networks, AT&T, Dish Network, Centerpoint Energy and Time Warner Cable.

    SCT Broadband:

    Retail Sales
    Smithville has experienced tremendous growth in retail sales over the past five years with sales tax revenues increasing each month in the past twelve months (January 2017-January 2018). Contact the Chamber of Commerce if you would like more information on recent sales tax allocations.  

  • Smithville offers local healthcare in a cost-effective manner.

    Smithville-Crawford Municipal Airport:  
    789 NW Hwy 95, Smithville TX 78957

    Also known as Crawford Municipal Airport, the airport is located on Hwy 95 (Loop 230) near the intersection of Hwy 71, and is the only airport in Bastrop County.  There is no local air traffic control.  The airport is used mainly for private planes.  The airport has Free Wireless Internet Access and a desktop computer for checking email or weather conditions. The airport also provides a Courtesy Van for pilots (please just refill the gas tank!).
