The Bastrop Opera House presents Dona Rosita's Jalapeno Kitchen. In her one-woman comedy show Doña Rosita's Jalapeño Kitchen, Ruby Nelda Perez rules her realm of pots and pans with an iron will and a big bowl of laughs, all while musing over whether or not to sell out, leave her business behind and let greedy developers change the face of her neighborhood forever. Perez has performed her show all over the country from California to New York to Alaska and back home to Texas to raving reviews. Perez is proud that her show was chosen to be on the Texas Commission Of The Arts touring roster.
