Every Saturday explore the park’s unique history, plants and animals. Bring water and wear walking shoes. Meet by the playground at 10 a.m. Happenings at Bastrop State Park on Saturday, April 25 include a Bird Walk at 9 a.m. Join a guide for the basics of birding. Bring water and goodshoes. Meet at the playground\; Backyard Bass at 2:30 p.m. Join a ranger atthe swimming pool parking lot to practice your casing skills. Poles provided\; and Owl Prowl at 8 p.m. Join in to look at the world of owls. Bring aflashlight. Starts at the Copperas Creek Picnic shelter.
